Winter... Spring... Winter... Spring... Make Up Your Mind!

We had such wonderful weather last week, it was in the 50's, and last night it snowed and snowed and today it's freezing rain. Seriously, FREEZING RAIN! I had to capture this weather to show you what we're dealing with here in good ole Michigan.

Yesterday morning there was NO snow on the ground. Not one speck! This is NUTS!

Hopefully this snow and ice is GONE just as soon as it came!

30 Days Of Winter +Day 29-30

My last two days of winter... yeah, I know it's Spring now... but I had to finish... then I will begin 30 Days Of Spring
Have you ever attended a Mom to Mom sale? I have never, probably because I'm NOT a mom, yet any way.
Learning Zone Preschool had a booth at our very first Mom to Mom sale, and boy, I could not believe all the other ladies their with their tables stock full of little kids clothes, toys, etc. It was amazing, and all cheap. Basically, it's a garage sale for moms.
30 Days Of Winter
If you haven't already you should find one in your area and check it out.
30 Days Of Winter
This was our table... we had bags of pretzels and small water bottles with balloons attached to them to give away. It was a very colorful table... it helped us attract everyone's attention, even the little kids that had come along with their parents.

A Crystal Clear Simple Moment::
Scissors; construction paper; tiny little fingers
Simple moments
While cutting construction paper at school, many tiny little fingers were quickly snipping away at the different colors of paper. With big smiles on their faces and laughter in the air... now that's what I call a simple moment!

30 Days Of Winter + Day 27

I was walking out of the apartment this morning only see to see the beautiful sun rising in the sky. I thought, "Man, thats the best thing you can see in the morning." I put my bags in the back of the jeep, snagged my camera up and... well... you know what I did next!

To me... it looks like the sun is melting away. *Crazyness*

And here too... it's melting!

When children are playing that's when you can capture the best shots... all natural, no poses. It's my favorite!!!

Editing photos is one relaxing thing I can do these days. I still have photos from when I took pictures of Tristan and I just couldn't resist editing them.

This picture has a blue tint to it, and looks pretty cool with the blue in the picture. Really liking it!

This one is a awkward angle but I still like it. Thats why I like it, because it's awkward!

30 Days Of Winter +Day 21-23

I spent lots of time with my 2 nephews this weekend, but today I got to spend a little extra time with Tristan. I was hanging his diaper at my mothers house, she was babysitting, and decided I would take some pictures of him. They turned out FANTASTIC, and I'm so glad I got to take these. I have been wanting to do a shoot with him for a while, and FINALLY I was able.

I did a collage just like I did with Jude, my eldest brothers son, and LOVE IT. Aren't his blue eyes just GORGEOUS. I can't get over how blue they are!

I loved this one in black and white. And adding the words, just completes it don't you think.

Baby Dedication
Jude has his baby dedication this weekend and it was wonderful. It was short and simple, and he didn't fuss. He is such good baby!
Crystal Rae Photography

Doesn't he just look like the happiest daddy in the world! That's my brother with his little baby boy! He is so proud!
I mentioned in a previous post about the gift I got Jude for his dedication, and since I gave the gift to them already I can tell you. I found the cutest keepsake box at Things Remembered. I had it engraved to say "Jude Matthew, Love Your Godparents, Jeremy & Crystal
Maybe I'm just rubbing it in, but I thought it look good if it said Godparents. :) And, Ashlee LOVED the keepsake box. WOOT.

30 Days Of Winter +Day 20

Okay, so it's not really winter anymore, I just need to finish up Winter... So I will use this week and next week to finish up!
By the way I got to meet my nephew, Jude Matthew. I just couldn't resist taking just a few photos of him... I got this idea of putting them together like this from Briony, she is an awesome photographer, and she has lots of great ideas.
Crystal Rae Photography

On another note, isn't he just the cutest. He was a little finicky when he wasn't with his mommy or daddy, but thats only because he is not used to everyone else yet. He'll get used to us though, :) On Sunday Jude is being dedicated as his mommy's home church.
Can't wait...
Have a great weekend Everyone!

30 Days Of Winter +Day 19

At school on Monday we celebrated Dr. Suess' birthday by making some Cat In The Hat Hats...
Happy Birthday Dr. Suess
Here is an example of the hats we made, the kids LOVED them. We also read the most famous book, The Cat In The Hat, along with the Cat In The Had Comes Back. The kids loved them both.

30 Days Of Winter +Day 18

I haven't really been keeping up on my 30 Days of Winter... I can only hope that I can get through to the 30 days before spring comes along... I better get crackin!
Today I spent the afternoon to myself... It was what I needed. Time to myself... even though I wasn't getting a manicure or pedicure or soaking in the bath... it was just me time. I went to the mall and found the cutest thing for my nephew, Jude Matthew. His dedication is March 8th and I so can not wait to give the gift I got! I can barely hold in all my excitement... I love giving gifts... :)*A Thank You To Ashlee For This Photo :)
Isn't he just so adorable and peaceful! Yeah, I thought so too. :)
At the mall I also got an Aunt Annies Pretzel, because those are so good, and sat and ate it. I didn't rush around and rush to get home. I just chilled, and sometimes I have a hard time doing that. As I was walking out of the mall I noticed the book store, but new that I shouldn't buy a book when we're trying to sell some. Instead I found out where the public library is, and you know what I did, I got a library card. I checked out 2 books and have already started reading one, and it's pretty good. I also stopped at Wal-Mart to refill our water jug pick up some milk and peanut butter.
Speaking of peanut butter... aren't those recalls crazy.
Well... we're watching a movie enjoying our evening, and I hope ya'll are enjoying your Saturday evening!

30 Days Of Winter +Day 17

Having a baby over night really makes me glad we're waiting a while before we have kids. Don't get me wrong, I love being with babies and taking care of them. I'm just so not ready to have one of my own. Jeremy and I had Tristan again the other night and he just did not want to go to sleep, so I got to bed at almost midnight, when I'm used to getting to bed earlier than that. BUT... once he did fall asleep he was quietly sleeping! YAY...
30 Days Of Winter
See... I LOVE KIDS!
I'm getting all my information together for my CDA. It's a credential (certificate) stating I can be a director of a daycare. I took my classes awhile back but now I'm ready to have my test. I have been working hard, getting all my information together, now I just have to mail it out with money, yeah, it cost me. :) Once I have my credential I go from Assistant TO THE Director to Assistant Director.

30 Days Of Winter +Day 14

He's born, he is in the world!!! Everyone meet Jude... he's my nephew... and I'm his godmother... no I'm not bragging about it, I'm just excited about it!
He looks like his daddy, that is for sure!

*****
Also... I got to watch my other nephew Tristan for a whole night. This was my FIRST time watching an infant who is only 8 weeks old. AND he did so good. He SLEPT through the whole night, but of course his little coos woke me up, and I just had to make sure everything was okay! And it was... I took him to his daddy the next morning and I went to work. Surprisingly enough I was pretty awake, and wasn't very tired, until it came to be the end of the day, then I started to get sleepy, but who wouldn't? :)

*****
Jeremy and I were given this BEAUTIFUL yet SIMPLE desk... I love it! I still need a chair, but hopefully Jeremy and I will get one this weekend! I would like to sit at it rather than kneel at it on my knees, it gets uncomfortable after awhile! :)
Here's my little corner...I was reading some material about children, because I work with CHILDREN!

******
Also... I put some old music on my laptop the other night because I want to sell the CDs in my brother in laws online Book Store. As you can see most of these bands are OLD but I still like to listen to some of the them... so sue me!
Question:: What is your all time favorite CD?

30 Days Of Winter +Day 11

Jeremy, Chris, Tabitha, Briony, and Myself hung out @ City's Scape Cafe (which happens to be the cafe in our church) because there were about 7 bands playing there. It was pretty interesting... the very first band did some Indian singing.. I wish I could give you an example on how they sounded. They did drums... which sounded extremely cool, but then... they had a singer singing some indian sounds. OKAY... I got a good example... you know the Lion King song that they sing when Simba is born? If you don't go watch it... because that is how the kid was singing, and they actually sang that song... the weird words and all. But goodness... Tab and I were trying so hard not to laugh, but it was funny. This was a drummer from one of the bands... his hair was huge, and when he banged his head his hair went everywhere, how annoying would that be?
One of my goals for this year is to learn to play the drums... so I was studying and watching the drummers that would play and they go crazy. They were wailing so hard on the drums, it almost looked like their drums would break. BUT... they didn't!This drummer had a purple V neck shirt on... which was weird to see a guy with a V neck shirt on, but he ws pretty cl to watch drum! He... along with the other drummers... was wailing on the drums... it was CRAZY!
Well... there were some pretty good bands and some... a little weird and hard to understand... all in all it was pretty cool!
See ya next time on my 100th post!

30 Days Of Winter +Day 10

Matt & Ashlee were in town and while they were "home" Ashlee's mom threw her a baby shower. Seeing how she is 8 months pregnant! It was really nice! We were all bummed because the Diaper Game, you know the one where you smell the "poop" to figure out what candy bar it is, wasn't going to work. They were melted @ my mothers house and brought to the party, but now one even thought about it hardening. So... by the time we were ready to play the game the diapers were "glued" shut with dried hard "poop." I guess Ashlee likes how the POOP smells. :)
Matt is really excited about disposable bibs! :)

It is officially the weirdest! I'm surprised it could fit around his NECK! :)
This was another game... we had to guess the size of Ashlee's stomach using yarn, and who ever was the closest won... guess what... I didn't win. Mine was too big!
The cupcake/cake topper. It looks edible, but when Ashlee tried biting into it it was PLASTIC.:)

I can't wait to meed Jude, my other nephew.
Oh... Ashlee has started her own blog. Check it out.... She'll be using the blog to help keep family updated on Jude and their little family they got going on! Good For YOU!

30 Days Of Winter +Day 7

It truly was a memorable Christmas! Jeremy and I spent our first Christmas together. First, I must say this is the first Christmas I was able to sleep in until 10:30, because my younger brother, Michael, wasn't there to wake me up at 8. :) Although, when I woke up the bed was empty, Jeremy was already in the living room, PLAYING A VIDEO GAME. :) So I shuffled my way out there, and said, "Lets open GIFTS." At this point Jeremy thought he wasn't getting ANYTHING, because of the insanely LARGE TV and PS3 he got for his BIRTHDAY, which I had told him it was his Christmas present as well. BUT... I was very SNEAKY. I bought him a package of socks, which he NEEDED, and I got him some AXE body wash, deodorant and spray, PHOENIX scent, HIS FAVORITE. AND.... I got him 2 blu-ray DVD's. Wanted & 300, two movies I know he'll LOVE, and guess what, HE LOVED IT. He was soooo surprised that he got ANYTHING. So... I am so glad that I was able to keep it a secret until Christmas, I really wanted to surpise him, and It was so hard, because I was getting so excited to give it to him. There was one situation that almost gave it all away. I had ordered the BLU-Rays on amazon.com, and I had them delivered to the Church, where I work, but they weren't scheduled to make it there until last Monday, and I wasnt going to be there, so I made a phone call, and it happened to get delivered to our apartment, so he saw that UPS slip on the door stating that they had delivered it to the main office at our apartment complex. I was freaking... so the next day I asked my boss if she could stop by the apartment complex office to pick up the package, since Jeremy and I drive the same car home from work. SO... you can imagine the predicament I was in. I called the offices to see if my boss could, the girl then said, "We... dont usually do that. We only give it to the person who's name is on the box." So... I told her my situation, she said hold on, came back on the phone, and said that it would be fine if my boss came to pick it up. I was so freaking excited. So... I actually told Jeremy that I had to go to my boss' house to grab something, and so we did, and then I snuck it in my purse and hid it in the closet. And he was totally surprised that he got ANYTHING. :) It was the highlight of my Christmas. Whoo hooo!

Here are a few more pictures from our trip in Washington D.C.
