iHeartfaces: Crim Collage

Last weekend I finished my first race. I did the 5k run at the annual Crim Festival Of Races. It was amazing. An awesome experience that I can't wait to do next year.

This was suppose to be for iHeartfaces weekly contest, but forgot to post it by Tuesday night. But I still wanted to post it anyway. So WALA, here it is.

Sunday Citar

Crim 2010

You have a choice. You can throw in the towel, or you can use it to wipe the sweat off of your face.

Running is real and relatively simple…but it ain't easy.
-Mark Will-Weber

"In running, it doesn't matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say 'I have finished.' There is a lot of satisfaction in that."
-Unknown

This weekend I experienced the satisfaction of finishing my first race. I was determined to do it and I did. It was challenging but I stuck with it and finished strong.

Birthday Wishes and Volleyball

I just celebrated my 23rd birthday... I know... not that old, but to me I fell OLD! Seriously, even though it's only 1 year older I feel old. Last year I got to spend my 22nd birthday with my cousin Carrie, want to hear more about that adventure? CLICK HERE and HERE. It was a blast.
But this year it was a little different. I got to spend the WHOLE day with my husband and NEW kitty, Ammo. Jeremy and I both took the day off of work. We first went to the pet rescue place and took about 45 mins to pick out Ammo. I was making a serious commitment, I wanted to make sure I knew what I wanted. I actually chose a different cat before I then changed my mind and decided on Ammo. I was very undecided, but then Ammo was playful and laid back. That was exactly what I wanted.
After we filled out the adoption papers for Ammo we left to go to St. Helen and pick up Jeremy's motorcycle. It was 1 and 1.2 hour drive and was way too long. But totally worth it for my husband. I guess you can say we both got presents on my birthday. So I just told him when it's his birthday I get to get a present too. :)

Although I've shared with you the cuteness that is my kitty I had to share another one. I love him. :)

Along with my birthday being last week I also had the opportunity to play in a volleyball tournament. My team only played 2 games and lost both, we still had fun. My friend Brittney snagged a few shots of my in action!

Check out that form. LOL. It looks like I'm stretching or something. GO TEAM!

Enjoy your week. August is almost over. :(

Ammo

No not ammunition... my cat's name is Ammo. I've only had him for 5 days but I fell in love the first day. He is the best little kitty ever.

He's so lovey, and snugly. We've been trying to get him to play with these toys we've bought, but he just stares at us like we're weirdos. But that's okay, because he lets me hold him like a baby. :P I guess you can say, he's my baby.

Have a great Saturday, Ammo and I are watching Veronica Mars.

Starbucks...

I've been taken by the relaxing calmness of sitting in a Starbucks coffee shop, (what other kind of Starbucks is there?). This is my 3rd time this month sitting here just doing whatever I want. Drink a cup of coffee, well 1.2 shot of expresso, because I'm not much of a coffee person, but this I can handle. I can read, I can write, I can watch (i'm a big people watcher), I can listen to music while I do all those other things. It's wonderful! Fantastically wonderful. And you know what? I can do it by myself and it's OKAY! I did have company my last visit, but this time I went solo.
Today as I sit here I'm watching out the window as the vintage cars roll by. It's a rolling car cruise, that's why I'm watching the vintage cars ROLL by. Get it... HAHAHA!

Starbucks

Ahhh... This is the relaxing life I'm talking about. Can you feel the relaxation jumping through the screen to you. I'm sending it your way... *WOOOSHH* *WOOOSHHH*

Enjoy that...

Sleep Over

Jeremy and I spent a couple days with my nephew, Tristan. We had him over at our house for a night and two days. He did excellent. He was very obedient and we showed him where the toys were and he did a good job at keep his hand on the toys, not on our toys. When we first brought him to our place he was in discovery mode. He walked around getting to know where he was. We set up his bed in the spare room, Jeremy and I took him in there and showed him where his bed was set up. Jeremy had to work so Tristan and I took him to work and then we came home to go swimming. We didn't swim very long because it was very cold. So we decided to play with the sidewalk chalk. That didn't last very long so we moved on to bath time.

It was so cute, I gave him the cup and he was rinsing off his leg.

He also poured water on his head. It was so funny. Seriously this kid is so cute.

Big smiles for Aunt Crystal. Every time I point the camera at him he says, "Cheese," and smiles. It's adorable.

Before we went out to the pool Tristan thought it was funny to put his swimmer on his head and wear it as a hat. His laugh was contagious... he was cracking up so much about his new "hat" he was making me laugh so hard.

We told my brother that we would have more sleepovers with Tristan. We just had so much fun, we just can't get enough of him.

iHeartfaces:: Got To Wear Shades

When I saw the category for this week I knew exactly what photo I wanted to use. I bought these sunglasses last summer and the kids at the daycare loved wearing them. I snapped a shot of this little chicka walking around looking all cool in them. I need to find another pair similar to these. At the end of the summer last year I blessed a teenager with them because she LOVED them. She could not get over how cool they were. And even though I was down a pair of sunglasses I knew it blessed this young lady.

Farmers Market & Mini Shoot

Just yesterday I spent the evening at a small Farmers Market in town. It was packed with people. There was fresh produce, handmade jewelry, and so much more. While I was there I took advantage of the time. How was I doing this you may ask? Well, I scheduled on Sunday a shoot but decided since the model and I would be in the same place at the same time we'd get a little extra time in. We got a lot of great photos and I'm having the hardest time picking the best ones. A little bit of everything I guess.. that's my motto. Not really, but It's someone's motto.
While cruising the Farmers Market we found some money spots and striked a pose. She did, not me. :) I was amazed. I told her, "Man you are the easiest person I've taken pictures of. You just move around and give me so much variety." And you know what she said? She said, "It's all the America's Next Top Model I watch." I thought that's awesome. :)
Don't just take my word for it, check it out here...

Picture Day

Do you remember as a kid when it was picture day at school? Mom always made sure she picked out the perfect outfit for you, your hair was perfectly done, make sure you face was clean. How the background for some reason could only be the color blue. And if you didn't like your smile, or you were making a weird, not normal face, you could redo your pictures on another date. do you remember that? Yeah, me too.
Picture day at Learning Zone Preschool is 100% completely different than a typical school. We don't have the typical blue background as other schools do. We have the natural outdoors to work with. That is our background. We do our group shot there and individual shots. Here are a few from this summers school pictures.

Trips To The Library

I love going to the library. And although this visit I was only there for a few mins just to get books for the kids. They needed new reading material. They wanted me to find Diary Of A Wimpy Kid for them but there were NONE at the library. So I just grabbed whatever looked interesting. :P So we'll see.

I love going to the library. To find a new adventure to take. Reading has been something I've enjoyed doing since I can remember. I really love being able to just sit and go into my own world and experience a new adventure.

What about you? What kind of adventures do you like to elope with?
